Parent/Caregiver Support
My work with parents/caregivers of adolescents is informed by a combination of my expertise and research in developmental psychology and experience in clinical practice with adolescents. I work with parents/caregivers of adolescents to support them in meeting the developmental needs of their child and understanding the "why" behind adolescent behavior. While adolescence is typically referred to as a diffcult time for both parent/caregiver and child, it is an incredibly important time for development. Although an adolescent is "almost" an adult, their brains are still developing- understanding adolescent development and the "why" behind adolescent behaviors (risk-taking, strong emotions, etc) can allow both the parent/caregiver and child to be successful in their relationship.
